I am a single mother of 3 children, one of my children has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, and we need a grant or help to get our own home and be able to make it handicap accessible, we currently rent and have to move to find a ranch style home.  I work, but do not make enough to get qualified for a loan though we pay our housing bills on time, it is still hard to get everything he needs and find a home to stay in for good; with student loan payments and medications/ supplements, traveling out of state for medical appointments, trying to pay off bills. I need something to help me get a house, pay off student loans, help with any financing.

I need someone to point me in the right direction! I am a social worker with a masters degree. I am currently the Executive Director of a county-wide homeless shelter and have been working with the disabled/poor/homeless for over 25 years. Here's my dilemna, I am still paying off student loans, about $30,000, from when I was in school and I'm now incurring parent loans for my two college-aged children. Many people have told me that there are grants to help pay off student loans for people who work with underserved and disadvantaged populations, but I'm not sure where to find this information. Unfortunately working with poor/homeless people is not very lucrative in this country and I am desperate to find some financial assistance for myself, (something I usually do for my clients), in order to keep my head above water. If anyone with any information about this issue could please respond, I would be deeply grateful. Hi.. For the past 10 years Ive tried to get ahead financiallly.. Everytime I save a couple hundred, something bad happens and I need touse that savings. Me and my husband are newly weds and we want to start a family. Problem is we cant because we have so much debt and dont want to raise a baby with no money. I recently filed bankruptcy due to losing my job and therefore lost my car too. I need help paying off bills(credit cards, medical bills, student loans, and buying a car) before we have kids or do anything. We dont make nearly enough waiting on tables and Im about to lose my head. We are both so depressed and never leave the house do to the fact we cant afford it. If there is anyone who could shed some light on my situation, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your time.
